Question

Is anyone else getting this warning?

Danger: Malware Ahead!

Google Chrome has blocked access to this page on www.spanishdict.com.

Content from www.plus-size-magazine.com, a known malware distributor, has been inserted into this web page. Visiting this page now is very likely to infect your computer with malware.

This is not unusual. The site hosting the original picture inserted in an answer is listed as malware distributor on Google. You get a warning because the inserted picture is linked to that page.

You're exactly right! I did use a photo from that site on the Word of the Day and the malware was connected to it.

I use IE9 and Norton Internet Security. I checked the items that Norton had found and a site with a somewhat similar name was listed. Norton apparently blocked the site or somehow took care of it. I have not experienced any problems.

Thanks, Mariana!!! I did not get that warning, but of course I do not have Google Chrome. I am scanning my computer now to check for anything suspicious.

This can be also connected to the adverts on the SD site. Every so often my McAfee security tells me there's a questionable ad on 'this page' (whatever page I'm on) and it blacks out the ad (usually just one of the ones to the right on the page). It probably happens at least once a day for me. It doesn't necessarily mean this ad is bad, but that they can't vouch for its safety.
