Hi, which tenses should I use in the following sentences?

Cuando era peqeña mi libro favorito fue/era Ana la de Tejas Verdes.

Cuando era pequeña era/fui muy activa.

I would use Pretérito imperfecto for all verbs here. Your clue is that the second action of each sentence directly corresponds with the first action.

Hi MC, it´s not a matter of non-interruption but of identical time frames. As you know, it´s very common to integrate different time frames, ie: "Ayer cuando andaba por la calle, vi un accidente brutal." No interruption but a time frame within another - 005faa61, Apr 9, 2013
