When I say ; me gusta el chocolate . the subject is the chocolate, the verb is gusta which belongs to the chocolate and the object is me right? When I say : me gustas tú . the subject is tú , the verb is gustas which belongs to tú and the object is me which mean you love me right? my teacher of Spanish said to me that the sentence " me gustas tú" means I love you , it didin´t make any sense to me .Can anyone help me to figure it out???? thank you in advance .

I think you need to say "te gusta", but I am English and better to wait for a native Spanish speaker to confirm or not! - margarita1943, Apr 7, 2013
I am trying to read everywhere about this verb " gustar" and I found it does not exactly mean to like I found also another meaning like " to please or to be pleasing" - bonita45, Apr 7, 2013
the question of mine is when I say me gustas tú does is it mean you are pleasing to me so people translate it as I Like you because you are pleasing - bonita45, Apr 7, 2013
i do not have any idea ,,, I am trying to analyse it but I need to understand it because I want to use it - bonita45, Apr 7, 2013
thank you margarita for your reply I hope that a native speaker will appear as soon as it possible , have a great day - bonita45, Apr 7, 2013

me gustas tú : means you please me... so in other words, I like (love) you. Exactly what you have said in your second comment bonita45. I am not a native spanish speaker... so a better answer is surely forthcoming...lol

I was slow to add that I am not a native speaker, but I think your analysis is correct. - mcdunc, Apr 7, 2013
thank you very much Mcdunc , you know it is one of my habits to try to think deeply and understand the real content of the word in the Spanish lessons the teacher tries to make it easy for others so she chose to tell "I LIKE YOU" . - bonita45, Apr 7, 2013
