Where is everybody? Searching for "Users" not working

I love this site! I have learned so much here! I have told several friends about SpanishDict.com and they have been enjoying learning/improving their Spanish. But when I search "users" for my friends to check on their progress, I can't find them. They don't find me either. In fact, I can't even find myself. I just see "user not found". What's up with that? Does one have to be here for a certain length of time before one become searchable?

True, the search feature in "Users" does not seem to work. The results from a search do not seem to make a lot of sense. The search tool in the posts (or Questions) does work but the results are displayed in no sensible order so you cannot really search for a recent post that way.

Yes, it definitely could use some added features. I tried typing in your name and it said

no results found

It would also be nice if there was a search feature where you can type in the first letter and could get some results.

Being an engineer (retired) I was compelled to tinker with this some more. It seems that the search works right only when you are in the Users section. Such a search would seem to have limited usefulness. - kirk1, Apr 6, 2013
