trocito a trozo - An expression I'm assuming to mean bit by bit or piece by piece.

Its from the following lyrics:

voy a recoger mis alitas rotas y las pegaré trocito a trozo y volaré

But my question is, does the phrase have the same or similiar meaning as "poco a poco", or "paso a paso"? In other words can I swap out "Estoy aprendiendo español poco a poco" with "Estoy aprendiendo español trocito a trozo", does that make sense?

Thought I'd note its from the song buscome by bebe, live version is best.

Trocito a trocito, trozo a trozo are more related to building a project than to learning a language. Poco a poco sounds more appropriate in that instance. I would not say "Estoy aprendiendo español trocito a trocito, but rather poco a poco".

I hope this helps!

Como dice Francobollo, o puedes decir también: Estoy aprendiendo paso a paso.
