Conjugation of dormir
I have never understood how "domir" becomes "Duermo" ofter conjugation. please help its confusing.

It's just an irregular verb. There are many irregular verbs in Spanish as there are in English.
There are a few verbs like this in Spanish that are irregular. Just accept it and realize that English has some verbs that change too without following a normal pattern- such as 'is' -> was? were?
These have to be memorized. Luckily there aren't too many of them that are irregular in Spanish. Most verbs stay true to their patterns.

To add a little, dormir is a stem changing verb, that is, the 'o' in the stem of the word, dorm. changes to 'ue' in some of the conjugations. Other types of stem changing verbs are the 'e' in the stem changes to 'ie'. An example is 'entender', to understand, becomes entiendo in the first person singular indicative. The third type is 'e' to 'i'. 'Pedir', to ask for, becomes pido in the first person singular indicative. All this is not the hardest thing to learn is Spanish because a set of rules is followed. You just have to learn which words are stem changing.
