I looked it up and I got "En cuanto a" "en respetos a" "en materia a" so of corse now I want to know if they are all exactly the same, or if they differ slightly based on how they are used. GRACIAS!

I can't answer the Spanish but I do believe that "in regards to" is wrong English. I believe it should be "with regard to". I believe Strunk and White documents this? It's been a while!

Correct, amigo. No "s" on the end of "regard." - --Mariana--, Mar 31, 2013

That's exactly right and the most common way to say "in/with regard to...."

  • En cuanto a mi solicitud (Regarding my application)

  • En cuanto a tu niño (With/in regard to your son)

  • En cuanto a los conquistadores (As to the conquistadores)

"In" and "with regard to," "regarding," and "as regards" are all standard, correct, and synonymous prepositions...."with regards to" and "In regards to" are both substandard and vulgar English.
