Sorry to ruin your supper. I guess there are some who eat bugs, that might start salivating at this page. - katydew, Mar 30, 2013

J - Jerusalem Grillo - Jerusalem Cricket.

ICK!

Suggestion from DJ. If you like it, translate it and find a picture for it. thumbsup

jején. (Del arahuaco xixén). 1. m. Insecto díptero, más pequeño que el mosquito y de picadura más irritante. Abunda en las playas del mar de las Antillas y en otras regiones de América.

OK, I have to think my original can be improved on, so with the kind assistance of DJ_Huero, another option has been located. I am leaving the original photo so the comments make sense.

Here it is:

J - Jején - Midge. It is tiny! (look at the size of the hair next to the insect!), but leaves a huge bite mark.

Thank you DJ for this excellent suggestion!!

MountainBelle I see you are newer and I think it's great you are participating in our activities already, great attempt! I left you a suggestion that you may use if you like it. Just follow the instructions I left with it. =) Keep on keeping on! - DJ_Huero, Mar 28, 2013
And we are all learning new bugs to avoid in Spanish and English. Thanks for both bug names. - katydew, Mar 29, 2013
