Easy Songs for Beginners

Question

Please list any songs you think may help a beginner learn spanish. I have already heard Me gusta Tu, but I could certainly use others to look up and start with. Thanks!

Javier Solís has the best pronunciation of any singer I have ever heard (mariachi style). He is gone now but his music still remains and his lyrics can be easily found online.

I would suggest

café tacvba - como te extraño mi amor or café tacvba - eres

they have a lot of great music, but these repeat some easy to remember verses

keep an eye out for related artists and bands, I'm sure you'll find something that will help you!

I'm not the best person to make suggestions, Spanish after all is not my first language and I'm not a language instructor but . . . with that said:

Check out Susana Baca of Peru. A number of her songs are poems. Like many recording artists, her material is available on YouTube via legal/illegal uploads I don't know. Of course her material is available via Amazon or iTunes. Her style is very sensual like Sade. You can find the lryics AND translations on her website http://susanabaca.com/

If you're beginning, I would suggest you check canciones para infantiles en YouTube. There are many kid songs and lullabies posted on YouTube. (Note, YouTube is an indispensible language aquisition tool

I love Enrique Iglesias, especially his songs "Heroe" and "Mentiroso."

I recommend Bonito by Jarabe de Palo. Really anything by this group is good. In most of their songs, they tend to repeat the chorus a bunch of times.
