Becarful when you see Está which is a form of the verb estar....it is. Accents make a diffference

Este libro (This book--masculine)
Esta mesa (This table--feminine)
Está (a conjugation of the verb "estar" in the present tense)
Esté (a conjugation of the verb "estar" in the subjunctive mood)
The former is for feminine, and the latter for masculine - both singular.
