Dollar sign next to translated word in iphone app?

In the iPhone app there is a sometimes a dollar sign after the translated word in spanish (english word to spanish). Type in "twist" for example and you get a list of four spanish words in different contexts, two of them "torsion" and "doblez" will have a dollar sign next to them and "vuelta" and "giro" do not. What does the dollar sign indicate? Thanks. ¡O quizás es mejor que digo gracias!
