Help with this idiom "que cada cual se lo monte como quiera"

Anyone heard of this idiom "que cada cual se lo monte como quiera" - one translater gives me: "that everyone mounts it as he(she) wants" but I feel it should "everyone to their own" or some such? thanks

Do you know the English idiom "whatever floats your boat"? That same idea with the translation being "to each his own" approximately.

I think that it should be something similar to "Everyone does it their own way."

I found this, which is similar: "Montátelo como puedas-" (You'll have to manage the best you can).
