How would you command a child to sleep?

¡Duerme! ¡ve a dormir!

Go to sleep

Duérmete

Vete a dormir

A dormir

Vete a la cama

Vuélvete a dormir / Go back to sleep

I've never heard duerme used in this context. I'm not saying it isn't right, just that I never heard it.

Listen to my lullaby, Rodney. You're right and it's in use. - annierats, Mar 7, 2013

I give you a lullaby, duérmete:

Niña niña, ¿quien descansa?

Descansa niña, por la noche.

Cerrados los pétalos de flores

Tranquilas son las mariposas.

Duerme la tierra y el cielo

Duerme la luna, duérmete.

¡Vaja a dormir! is another way,

The imperative 'Duerme' is good too. I am not sure about how common 've a dormir' is
