help translating "Wailer" nickname

"Wailer" is my nickname in English, and what I prefer to go by generally. I am having difficulty finding the proper translation into Spanish that would carry the same nuance as "one who wails." What I'm afraid of is inadvertently introducing myself as "Howler" or "He Who Cries Like a Hungry, Angry Baby" or "the Siren Sound Maker."

Any help? Think Bob Marley and the Wailers. "Wail" as in the yawp of lamentation, the cry of protestation.

So, from that context, what would "Wailer" be?

I'm not sure that chillón is the right word. According to the dictionary:

chillón nm coloquial (llorón) sb who cries loudly screamer, crier n sb who whimpers sniveller, whiner adj colloquial crybaby n Ese niño es un chillón.

Unlesss of course that is the translation you're looking for.

Nicknames (apodos) in general tend to be very regional and often mean something different from one country/region to the next. quinnsire, I'd suggest figuring out who you'll be talking to (Mexicans, Spaniards, etc. and then asking specifically for a word in that dialect.

sd's dictionary Noisy person noun masc. - albert-fabrik-, Mar 6, 2013
I looked in WordReference and it mentioned nothing about noisy. That's why I think it can mean different things to diifferent people. Regional difference will get you everytime. - rodneyp, Mar 6, 2013
This is helpful, but disappointing, as well, you know? I mean, "wailer" has the same meaning in any English speaking country. It isn't a matter of slang. Is it possible that Spanish just doesn't have the particular nuance? - quinnsire, Mar 10, 2013

My Mexican buddy said for him this means llorón, which would be cry baby, which I don't think he was going for. - rodneyp, Mar 6, 2013
