Sinmeta will be correcting the Spanish sentences as his time permits. We still need more help with this very important task. Please correct your sentences according to his suggestions.
There are many native English speakers here, most of us can offer great suggestions to the English sentences. I will do my best to go through them all, too. Use today's Word of the Day in your own Spanish sentence (and include the English translation as well). Try to use the word in a completely new way and vote on the sentences you like best. The winner will be chosen based upon the correct use of the word as well as the number of votes.
Guidelines:
Write sentences at least 5 words long, but don't write a paragraph either. Write your Spanish sentence, but include the English translation as well. Make the corrections suggested by other users and moderators in the comments section (try not to use personal pronouns unless absolutely necessary). Use your own words! (Don't use a translator, copy from a book, use song lyrics, etc.) Have fun experimenting with Spanish

1. Quiero ir a un destino exótico para mi aniversario.
I want to go to an exotic destination for my anniversary.
2. Lo que para algunos es exótico, para otros es ordinario.
What to some may seem exotic, to others is simply ordinary.

Una especie exótica es una especie de organismos no nativos del lugar o del área en que se los considera introducidos, y han sido accidental o deliberadamente transportados a una nueva ubicación por las actividades humanas. La naturaleza tiene absolutamente de todo para ofrecer, y las más extravagantes formas de vida habitan a menos kilómetros de tu casa de lo que tú crees. Y en cuanto a especies extrañas no sólo hablamos de animales, sino que también de plantas, pues las plantas exóticas están presentes en varias partes del planeta, y con características realmente peculiares.
An exotic specie is a non-native specie of the place or area in which has been introduced, and it has been taken accidentally or deliberatelly to a new location by human activities. Nature absolutelly has everything to offer, and the most extravagant ways of life inhabit less miles from your house than you think. And as for strange species we are not only talking about animals, but also plants, since the especies of exotic plants are present in many parts of the planet, and with really peculiar characteristics.
