I am trying to figure out what "prestado" means in Spanish, and also what the suffix "-ado" means in general. Por favor, puede quien ayudar a mi'

ado is -ed in the sense of an adjective. For example:
Presté el libro. - I borrowed the book.
El libro es prestado. - The book is borrowed.

Prest-ado = Borrow-ed

ado = ed
