Maybe she wish that her man/guy would be like the man in "llorando se fue"

"Quizas desea que su chico fuera/sería como el hombre en "llorando se fue"

Im thinking it should be "sería" because of "would" " but "fuera" becuase of "desea que"

so condicionales o subjuntivo?

Also, the original English sentence is not grammatically correct. It should be:

Maybe she wishes that her man/guy would be like the man in "llorando se fue."

But even better would be:

Maybe she wishes that her man were like the man in "llorando se fue."

Or:

Maybe she wishes that her man could be like the man in "llorando se fue." (we are talking about "capacity," not "permission," so "could" is better than "would").

My guess is that it should be in the imperfect subjunctive. If you take off the "quizás", the sentence feels right in the subjunctive to me:

Ella desea que su chico fuera como el hombre en "Llorando se Fue"

Tack on the maybe, and you're just adding a conjecture about it.

Quizás ella desea algo.

You could say "quizás ella desee algo" but the "maybe" part is expressing probability, not improbability, so "desea" seems correct in the indicative.
