Hi Dad,

Hes trying to say "Estoy teniendo un mal día".

In general, it would help us (help you and him) if you´d tell us what you´re trying to say in English, along with the Spanish attempt. Otherwise, we have a lot of people expending time on guesses, and we´re less able to help you.

Personally, I would use the ´un´ and might prefer paso or pasando over some for of tener.

It´s more natural to say "Me va bien mal el día (de hoy)"....... "I´m having a bad day."

This one passed his dad. Hes trying to say "Estoy teniendo un mal día". The question is doe "un" have to be used or is "Estoy teniendo mal dia" mean the same thing? Is it grammatically correct? is there a more preferred way to say it? I guess what we are thinking is proper/improper usage or formal/informal use.

Éste pasó a su papá. Hes tratando de decir "Estoy teniendo sin mal día". La pregunta es doe "un" tiene que ser utilizado o se "Estoy teniendo mal dia" significan lo mismo? ¿Es gramaticalmente correcto? ¿Existe una manera más preferente que decirlo? Supongo que lo que estamos pensando es correcto / incorrecto uso o uso formal / informal.
