"make sure"
How do you say this in spanish.
As in: make sure you do your homework, or make sure you call your parents.
This is my try:
"Asegúrate que usted hagas su tarea."

Perfecto as far as asegúrate goes.
I'd say - asegúrate de que hagas tu tarea.
(remember that the te and the tu need to match, you can't have te and su)
¨Hagas¨ is the "tú" form so usted isn´t needed. Since you start with ¨Asegúrate¨ and ¨hagas¨, for consistancy I´d use ¨tu tarea¨.
One more issue is the informal command which uses the imperative form. If you´ve studied the subjunctive ¨hagas¨ you may want to know this one, ¨asegúrate¨.
