Mi primera vez
Hola a todos.
I´m trying to find a way, or actually, several similar ways, to explain to folks that have been asking me, that this is my first trip to a Spanish speaking country since I´ve been able to speak a bit of Spanish. I had a couple ideas on how to properly say it, but wanted to bounce them off of the site´s collective wisdom and see what was and wasn´t right, and what needs improvement.
So,
If even one is right, I could get by that way, but I like to be able to vary my story a bit, so my poor hosts don´t have to listen to me regurgitate the exact same thing over and over.
Thanks for any help.

Ahora que he empezado a aprender español...
I see several likes, but no real comments, so... The second one sounds a bit funny to me, what-with the "hablar," but the others sound good. I'm a little rusty with what tense is needed after "desde que," (preterite vs perfect in 1 and 3) so further input would be good.
