Country Shapes on Lesson 1.7

Country Shapes on Lesson 1.7

Hola! Thank you for the lessons. I am enjoying them. I have a feedback point.

  1. On Lesson 1.5 I had a hard time figuring out which country was what because the colored blobs weren't exactly easy to figure out. Wouldn't it be better to show each country shape highlighted within its continent so people can get a better idea of what we're looking at? (I even had a hard time figuring out what the blob for England was, even though I lived in the UK for over 20 years. lol)

Thank you!!

I agree with you on the difficulty on determining the countries. your suggestion sounds good! - MountainBelle, Feb 22, 2013

When I did this lesson, I drew each country on my notebook page. I highlighted the country and its language with two different colors. When drawing the countries, if two looked alike, I would exaggerate the tiny difference. An extra island or a defining corner. I agree, this was definitely the hardest lesson. I wish I knew the "uncheck the box for images" trick before.

The good thing is you can go back and take the quizzes again, and any extra points you earn (over orig. score) will be credited to your point count. ♥ - Findy, May 14, 2013

Just for the record... I realized (eventually) that this problem can be solved by changing the options for the flashcard quiz - just un-check the box for 'images' - and words will appear instead of the pictures. I found this is easier with other lesson flashcard sets as well. enter image description here
