Meaning of "volver loco"?

I am reviewing the subjunctive for a little quiz next week and as part of that I am reviewing verbs like gustar because of the indirect object pronoun that is used with those verbs. I think I understand most of them except the only two word example of a verb like gustar that I have seen, "volver loco". I know it means "to be crazy about" or perhaps more litterally "it makes me crazy". What I am not sure of is the idiom (how the words or phrases are used in a language). If I say "Me vuelva loco baloncesta" (I hope I got that translation/grammer about right), does it mean something like I love basketball (which I do as both a fan and a player at a very low amateurish level because I was a short, slow guy who could not jump until I continued to play until I became a very old, slow, short guy who could not jump) or does it mean something more like it drives me crazy like the way this site does because it has been crashing my browser about every three minutes?

"Volver " in this case indicates a transition

To say "I´m crazy about ......" we say "estoy loco por ............." / "me muero por ..." / "me encanta ..........."

"Volverse loco" is to become crazy literally or figurativly, so after this action is complete "volver" is not used. Also "me vuelve loco" ..... "it makes me (become) crazy.

Read volver in this instance as "drive" as in the phrase "It's driving me crazy" that's the besta good idiomatic translation, "that guy is driving me crazy.."

Great answers already, I would like to add that in my experience "volverse" in the sense of "to become", etc. implies a rather sudden change, in comparison with many of the other ways to express that idea in Spanish.

No, it's as Julian and Lagartita say...

Volverse = to drive someone or become crazy

Estar loco por = to be crazy (happy-good) about someone or something

Thank you all. If I understand these answers, this "crazy" is not a good thing like loving something would be.
