Where is the nearest bar

I go to Cuba quite often and I would like to be able to communicate much better. Could you please show me how to ask where is the nearest bar?

Welcome to the forum.

In Spanish that would usually be asked something like this:

¿Hay una barra por aquí? Is there a bar near or around here?

I am glad that you are focusing on the first things first. Also, if you would finish completing your profile, the members could help you in a better manner.

jejeje, How to ir de fiesta, my speciality.

¿Dónde está el bar más cerca? Where's the closest bar?

OR

¿Hay un bar aquí cerca ? Is there a bar close by here?

Let me know if you need any other party related vocab, jajajaja.

Believe me, I've tried, but have rarely communicated better after a bar. Well, maybe a first, but ...

Welcome.

Please be careful in those bars south of the border. As it has be said, we want you back. - kirk1, Feb 20, 2013
Exacto Rodney. That's why Ii revised to say "at first" Later on, I've been known to do more harm to my tongue, even the English one. - rogspax, Feb 20, 2013
No worries Kirk. I'm flying SanAnto direct to Toluca, and skipping the border entirely. - rogspax, Feb 20, 2013
Mi español se mejora mucho después una cerveza. La segunda? Se hunde en el abismo. La tercera? Mi inglés también. ;) - MyHeadAboveWater, Feb 20, 2013
Funny stuff. Rodney: ¡Claro que sí! MyHeadAboveWater: Lightweight! (Kidding!) Rogspax: Vacation to Toluca? I’m moving to Guanajuato soon. - brian5764, Feb 21, 2013
