How do you say I invited Edwin's friend in Spanish. Edwin's friend is a girl, so would you say Yo invité a la amiga de Edwin?
Also, if Edwin's friend was a man would you say Yo invité al amigo de Edwin?

Thanks.

Hi Ray. It takes a long time to learn Spanish, eh? - Maria-Russell, Feb 20, 2013
I will never make it Maria, I have run out of time already , I keep telling them to give me an extension so i can learn enough to say ," get knotted "! - ray76, Feb 20, 2013

You don't need the "yo", because the ending tells who's the subject, so you would say (if the friend is male):

Invité al amigo de Edwin.

And if she's female,

Invité a la amiga de Edwin.
