I assume Direct and Indirect Object Pronouns?

I won't go into detail unless you specify which pronouns/ propose a certain issue so I know what to help you with.

I always say that the pronouns themselves are not hard, it's just hard to get used the them.

Unlike in English, Spanish IO and DO pronouns go before a conjugated verb or attached to an infinitve. THis is why many English natives have such a har time with them.

The DO pronouns can be complicated in that they take a masculine or feminine form in the 3rd person singlular and plural form. I won;t go over exactly what all of the pronouns are but I will give you some examples.

Mi mama quiere que yo traiga la sandia al picnic. Our Direct Object is "La sandia," so our propositin must take the feminine form. Pronouns must come before the conjugated ver of attached to an infinitive. Since "traer" is not an infinitive, we cannot simple attach the pronoun to it.

Mi mama quiere que yo la traiga. My mom wants me to bring it.

In cases where there is an infinitive, we can attatch it or leave it before the conjugated verb.

Quiero manejar el coche. => Lo quiero manejar. = Quiero manejarlo.

Indirect Object Pronouns show for who or what the DOP is.

I bought her a ring. DO=ring, IO=her.

Le compré un anillo.

In cases where both the DO and IO pronouns are used together, remember that Indirect always comes before direct.

Me lo compraron. = They bought it for me.

When Le(s) and Lo/ La are next to eachother, the IOP becomes "se"

Le lo dije a ella. --> Se lo dije a ella. (I said it to her.)

Both can be attached to an infinitive with an accent mark.

Rompérselo.

Welcome to the forum! You might start by studying the Pronouns section in Spanish Grammar, under the "Learn" link in the blue bar at the top of this website. You will find that we can be much more helpful if you put a little more detail into your profile - what level of Spanish are you taking? Is your English native, or is it also a second language? Then you can ask more specific questions!
