Airline ticket in Spanish.

Hi all,

So, what are the classes (first, business, coach etc) called in Spanish?

I'm trying to figure out various ticketing issues.

Also, which of the various words for expired would be most appropriate for an expired passport?

Thanks for any help.

Roger

Actually, I don't know anything about that won't have time to learn Have an exam next Wed night, and then fly out Thurs, with that being the ReAL exam. It is disconcerting that the Mexican chief of police is missing and his brothers have been found dead - rogspax, Feb 20, 2013

Primera clase,

Clase Ejecutiva/clase de negocios

Clase económica / clase turista

Sometimes you'll actually see/hear Business and First class referred to as their English names.

Expired passport - pasaporte caducado

Renovar el pasaporte / Renovar un pasaporte caducado

It is a subclass of the 'Turista' class. You can read more about it here. If you visit that link you also know where you will be seated in the plane ; - )

Got it, thanks. The guy I'm working with seems to know all the inexpensive business loopholes, so this sounds about right. Thanks! - rogspax, Feb 20, 2013

Hi all,

OK all, thanks for the help so far. I have much to learn fast, so thanks for helping me. So, my ticket confirmation has the letter "W" after "Clase"

What could this mean? I'd imagine Coach, but don't really know.

Thanks Roger

The ticket is referred to as a "boleto". Un boleto de vuelo. Un boleto redondo. (round trip). Un boleto sincillo (one-way ticket).

There's also boleto de avion for the ticket itself. Round trip ticket is also a boleto de ida y vuelta or pasaje de ida y vuelta. - rodneyp, Feb 19, 2013
Also boleto de ida for a one-way ticket. Boleta de vuelta is for the return leg. - rodneyp, Feb 19, 2013
Thanks Gringo,and Rodney. - rogspax, Feb 20, 2013
