Menos pobre

Does menos pobre have the same meaning as richest. For example would "tercer pais menos pobre" have the same meaning as "tercer pais ricos?"

Sorry but Kiwi's answer is only correct if you were considering the wealth of five countries.

1 Richest

2 Second Richest

3 Third Richest (Also third poorest)

4 Fourth Richest

5 Fifth Richest

Lower than or greater than 5 then third poorest is not the same as third richest.

Alright thanks. In context to my question though, yeah she was correct. - trqkkr, Feb 14, 2013
Hey eddy, but we were comparing third least poor with third richest, not the third poorest - as you mention that would be different. - Kiwi-Girl, Feb 14, 2013
That's the problem with having presbyopia. Couldn't find my glasses. - Eddy, Feb 14, 2013

Nearly smile. Third least poor (menos pobre) would be equivalent to third richest (más rico).
