Mi casa es su casa

If su means her or his, does that mean "mi casa es su casa" doesn't mean "my house is your house?" It means "my house is his/her house", right?

I'm bored, so just thinking of random stuff...

Trqkkr asked:

Could you also say "mi casa es estas casa?"

This would mean: "My house is these house."

That makes no sense.

"Mi casa es su casa" uses the formal "usted" to say "My house is your house" (please feel at home).

If you wanted to be informal with friends you'd say, "Mi casa es tu casa."

"Su" is the third person (his, hers, its, your formally) singular possessive adjective so the expression means "my house is your house."
