What does "Arrurru" mean?

I'm trying to do a lyrics songbook for my Music Around the World Class. I'm using Pablo Menendez's "Arrurru and want to explain the origin of this word. It seems to mean "sleep" but - why can't I find it in any official translation sites? Where did it originate and what does it mean and is it a universally recognized word / phrase or lullaby?

THANKS!

Apparently "arrurru" is the Spanish equivalent of "lalalala" just some sounds you would use to sing a baby to sleep. I saw one site that referred to it as a Colombian lullaby. Pablo Menendez probably considers it Cuban. - kirk1, Feb 7, 2013

I friend from Chile mentioned that all Chilean lullabies start with: “arrurru mi niño”. This sort of gives a definition from the context. There is an example of a Chilean lullaby (by the Tikitiklip group) if you youtube search: "Arrurrú - Tikitiklip

You are more advanced in Spanish than I am but, my guess is because it is a local or regional term (Colombian) for lullaby. I will ask one of my profesoras who is from Colombia about this.
