Translation of "teacher (female)" in Spanish
Can we translate the following sentence from English to Spanish:
"Thank you, my charming teacher (a female)" into "Gracias, mi maestra encantador"?
Would "maestra" also mean "lover" in English?
Thanks!

It would be encantadora, not encantador. I've never heard maestra meaning anything but teacher.
I agree with everyone above.....
"Maestra" means "teacher" and nothing more unless you are specifically taking about sex and then mention that she was your teacher. Generally "maestra" is used for a grade school level teacher.
"Profesora" is more common and used for a teacher that teaches above a grade school level. Unlike the States, a "profesora" does not need a degree in teaching for the title.
I´m with Mike. I think for it to be used as anything other than teacher, it would have to be a very specific, very adult context. It´s pretty much just teacher.
Profesora is an alternative
I personally hope she's a profesora encantadora because it rhymes and sounds cool :D. Maestra encantadora doesn't sound as good... But if she is a grade school teacher, then so be it! ![]()
