I´ll go ahead and tell you this, since online translators will be ambiguous in most cases between preterite and imperfect forms.
Depending on context, Miré or Miraba.

There are two different words you could use: ver or mirar. Also, you need to use past tense yo form. So...
- ver ---> vi (special one)
- mirar---> Miré
