How to say "It's 00:20"?

Is it correct to say "Son las cero y veinte" or zero and one both should be "Es la cero/una"?
Apart from grammar, is there another, more "usual" expression, e.g. something along the lines of "it's X minutes after midnight"?

Formas más correctas serían "Son las doce y veinte" o "Pasan veinte minutos de la medianoche".
