Colors in Spanish Help!

Question

I keep getting these questions wrong and I am sure I am using the correct gender and plural or not plural.

1.¿De qué color son las palabras de esta frase? Las palabras de esta frase son negros. 2¿De qué color son los bluejeans?Los bluejeans son azules. 3. ¿De qué colores es la bandera (flag) de los Estados Unidos? La bandera de los Estados Unidos es rojo y blanco y azul.

So what is going on because they are wrong?

1-"Las palabras de esta frase son negras."

2- Los bluejeans(pantalones de mezclilla) son azules.

3- La bandera de los Estados Unidos es roja, blanca, y azul or

 La bandera de los Estados Unidos es de color rojo, blanco y azul.

1. "las palabras de esta frase son negras" Palabras= feminine Negras= feminine Negro= masculine

2. Is correct."Los bluejeans son azules"

3. Since the question says "Bandera" with the "a" (feminine) at the end. You are supposed to type the colors like so: "es roja, blanca y azul"

In the first one, if you say "las palabras son negras", you will see that "negras" is a predicate adjective, and must agree with the subject in gender and number. On the second, I can't see a mistake. Azul does not change with gender. In the third, "La bandera es roja, blanca, y azul". The reasoning is the same as number one.
