In learn spanish lesson :

2.3 - Parties with Direct and Indirect Object Pronouns in the write practice ...

  1. José les tira las serpentinas a ellos. the answer is :
  2. José se las tira.

but i do not understad why we use (le) instead of (les) because ellos is plural

direct object for las serpentinas is .... (las) and indirect object for ellos supposed to be (les)

the why we use se ???? why it not (ses)... becuase it is plural

First go back and review the information on pronouns. You may find that:

Spanish never puts "les" and "las" together. The indirect pronoun "les" is replaced with "se" which only has the one form for singular and plural. There is no "ses".

Sí, y la razón se usar 'se' es hacer más fácil la pronunciación.

Yes, and the reason "se" is used for the IOP (indirect object pronoun) is that when an IOP and a DOP are used together and they both start with "l" the first pronoun, the IOP, is changed to "se" to make the pronunciation less awkward.
