Subjuntive Threads/Activities

I've put together a few threads about some basic and consistent ways to use the subjunctive, however, I would like input sent to me from other members on what exactly I should write about in future posts, what types of activities you all would advise, and also I would like for native speakers to pitch in.

He armado unos hilos acerca de algunas maneras básicas y consistentes de usar el subjuntivo, sin embargo, me gustaría que los demás úsuarios me enviaran sugerencias de lo que estaría útil para las publicaciones futuras, qué tipos de actividades les gustarían y también me gustaría que los hispanohablantes echaran una mano.

If any native Spanish speakers would like to give there takes on the subject and explanations of when they use the subjunctive and why (or when they just wouldn't use it), it would be greatly helpful. Corrections and suggestions on given sentences (and my declarations) would also be awesome.

Si a unos hispanohablantes les gustaría dar sugerencias sobre el subjuntivo y también dar explicaciones de cuando se usa el subjuntivo y el porqué (o cuando no usarían el subjuntivo) eso sería sumamente útil. Correcciones y sugerencias de las oraciones dadas (y de mis afirmaciones) estarían bien también.

If someone would like to be "the" corrector of the Spanish, that would be nice also, just let me know. Let's just all try to pitch in a bit (in an organized way)

Si a alguien le gustaría ser el corrector oficial del español, sería fantástico, sólo avísame. Vamos a tratar de ayudarnos a uno al otro (de manera organizada)

Please leave some of your subjunctive doubts below, when you have them, so we can better place together materials.

Por favor, dejen ustedes algunas de tus dudas en los comentarios aquí debajo cuando les vengan a la mente, para que podamos construir buenos asuntos

Are you trying to set up a hyperlink, called, "Teamwork/Trabajo en Equipo"? Or is that the title of your graphic? Also, members won't know where to find your threads from this point, say in a month or so. If you need help, please leave the url addresses - bandit51jd, Jan 4, 2013
....here in the comments and members will help with the links. Bien hecho! Gran trabajo! Muchas gracias! - bandit51jd, Jan 4, 2013
Thanks again Bandit... no, I was just trying to leave the image, jaja.... about the url ...could you do that for me? No sé a qué te estás refiriendo. - avispao, Jan 4, 2013
Bandita, I understood from Francobollo's original post that these subjunctive threads would end up in the reference section eventually. - mcl020, Jan 4, 2013
So then it would be easily retraceable anyway. - mcl020, Jan 4, 2013

I think you started out more than ok, by only tackling 1 aspect of the subjunctive: it's use with querer/esperar/desear/no querer que and then following it up by letting us practice with it.
Kiwi then came up with another important piece of information: how to form the subjunctive.
So, you could now follow up with a 2nd part of usage (and a practice thread) OR let us first practice with forming it ...... OR tell us what we did wrong or right while practising. My idea was that it all went quite well and that most of us kept it as simple as we were supposed to.

The information/lesson you have given us thus far was excellent, so please continue ... and please continue bringing it step-by-step.

If we all knew how we want it taught or how lessons should be coordinated, I guess we wouldn't be struggling with it as much as we do : - (

For me, your part I on usage + Kiwi's post on how to form it where very helpful. I see a great possibility for teamwork there ; - )

Yeah basically everyone kept it simple and in turn used the subjunctive in one of it's most simplistic ways. I think I'll do another small group of subjuntive moments in the next one. - avispao, Jan 4, 2013
*querer/esperar/desear/no querer que* - phrases of wanting imposed on other subjects - avispao, Jan 4, 2013
Yes, I was too lazy to look back and you see: even such a compact part of information needs some time to settle in the brains! - mcl020, Jan 5, 2013
But I'm on Greenwich time so I still have that night of sleep ahead of me ;-) - mcl020, Jan 5, 2013
To encourage the teamwork between you and Kiwi I post the same pic here that I already posted in a thread of hers today ;-) - mcl020, Jan 5, 2013
I understand, jaja... that's true. I usually learn a small segment, and sleep on it... then try to recall it the next day. It's a natural memory booster. - avispao, Jan 5, 2013

When it comes to the subjunctive, I say, "Whoa! Now how do I do this again?" I'm not sure how to apply it and sometimes confuse it with the conditional tense. I would like to see subjunctive usage played out in the deeper issues of life, a little deeper than shopping or weather. Hope this helps.

It does, thanks. Espero que podamos crear algunos buenos hilos que ayuden a todos. - avispao, Jan 4, 2013

At the risk of sounding like a grammar book, some ideas. Subordinated noun and adjective clauses that involve the subjunctive, sequence of tenses, adverbial expressions etc. with lots of clear explanations and examples.

I 100% agree with you. I have a couple of things in mind, but I'll go step by step. - avispao, Jan 5, 2013
