The name is actually French and the accent goes accordingly on the first e: Aimée. There is a reason in the French language for the placement of the accent. In Mexico this spelling would not be considered Spanish anymore than William is, but people there as here like to break away from tradition and try something new. I don't know how she pronounces her name but according to Spanish spelling and pronunciation the word "aimee" would be pronounced like the English phrase "I may ee" (I want to change this to "I may" the ee doesn't make sense now that I look at it). If she pronounces it like the French name in Spanish the phonetic spelling would be "Emé", of course she wouldn't spell it that way.
