A short and a very informal version for "Qué". Mostly used when you are chating on internet or texting.
"q' pasó?" "What Happened?"
Also you can use "xq" or "xk" that means "por què /porque" - "why/because"
"xk faltaste a clase?" “xq estaba enferma“
“why did you skip school"? “because I was sick“

You´ll also see X for Por in that style of writing. That one confused me for quite a while, and then I heard my first math discussion, and it clicked.
