Crossword: Create English compound words and translate them to Spanish
In English, words, particularly adjectives and nouns, are combined into compound structures in a variety of ways. One common pattern is to join two words such as fire and fly, into one word; firefly.
There are three forms of compound words. This challenge focus's on the the closed form, in which the words are melded together, firefly.
There is only one sure way to know how to spell compounds in English: use an authoritative dictionary.
Guidelines:
-- Use only the words in the the Word Bank. Several of the words are used more than once.
--Create 21 English compound words, (you may find more than I did) and then translate the compound word into Spanish.
-- Indicate where the Spanish word will be used in the crossword puzzle.
-- One clue per member please, though you may participate every 2 hours.
-- Feel free to use sentences and/or pictures.
-- Be aware that the crossword puzzle does contain phrases, leave a space between words.
-- Note: You do not have to do the clues in any particular sequence! Have fun!
