"Padron unico"

Question

In looking at Uruguay real estate I see the term "padron unico" referring to a house Also they use the term"particular" as in Cuba "casa particular" refers to a private individuals house - neither of these are in the dictionary........Ideas?

Casa particular in Spain means an individual house,or a private house. I believe that in Cuba it can mean Bed and Breakfast. ( I have never been to Cuba, so don't take this as gospel.)

Patrón, is as Julián says, the owner, or , in cases of rented accomodation , the landlord. Patrón único would mean that you're dealing with only one vendor, not a family, or other complications, I would guess.

"Casa particular" is also used in Mexico; it´s very common.

I am guessing that "padrón" is a typo and the intended word is "patrón" which also means "dueño" (owner of house renting rooms), so "patrón único" could indicate that only the owner is selling the house or that the house is for sale and not for rent or lease. Without more context, I can´t say for sure not being familiar with this term.

Casa particular, is common in Spain to. Probably a vivienda unifamiliar. - annierats, Dec 22, 2012
