Is this archaic Spanish?

To help with my speaking Spanish, I am reading La Santa Biblia, Version Reina-Valera 1909 (given to me for free). And I'm in the first book (still), reading about Abraham. But at the beginning of Abraham's life, there is the list of who had who, and I came across Nahor's name in Spanish, which I wasn't sure how to pronounce: Nachôr. I have not seen "ô" in Spanish, though it is very common in Portuguese.

Would anyone know of some explanations about "ô" and why it's not used today?

I have never read that accent in Spanish in my life. I'm not sure, but maybe is just the name (French name?). Sorry I can't help you.
