Can 'la ropa' be used in a situation where 'clothes' needs to be plural? The sentance is, 'The faces and clothes have intricate details.' 'Las caras y _____ tiene detalles."

"Ropa" is used as in English uncountable nouns are. Nevertheless, isn't wrong to use it in plural when you neeed to, it's less common only ("hay distintos tipos de ropas: de cama, de vestir, de playa, etc.")

"Ropa" is generic and reffers to "all clothes", so "The faces and clothes have intricate details" would be "las caras y la ropa tienen detalles intrincados"

Also, a few synonyms:

Vestimenta.

Atuendos.

Trajes (as in costumes or skins(skins used in "videogames language").
