Hola mis amigos!
Cuando buscaba la significa se esta expresión, encontré diferentes respuestas.
"hacer algo sin saber muy bien lo que se hace"
y
"swing out wildly"
¿Lo cuál es correcte?

Dar palos de ciego means shooting in the dark. An attempt that has little chance of succeeding. It literally means hitting with a stick like a blind person.
