"En la casa de mi Padre, muchas moradas hay, pues, voy a preparar lugar para vosotros..." why is there no indef. article before lugar? thanks...

voy a preparar lugar para vosotros
You can certainly say "un lugar" in this sentence. Here, without the "un," it's sort of like "I'm going to make some room for ..."
