Gracias,

Literally, it means, "door scratcher."

That doesn't make any sense in English, but I from looking at scary images of cemetaries when I googled it, I'm thinking that it might be related to being buried alive.

This is creepy, but if you are buried alive, you will leave scratches on the lid to the coffin.

Hi Jasmin!!

Rascapuertas means meapilas, mojigato, blandengue, which, I admit, I can't translate into English. The dictionary suggests sanctorious, but I'm not sure that this word covers this ironic, pejorative meaning that rascapuertas has.

Anyway, it describes a person who is a little bit hypocritical, a little bit coward, a little bit pusillanimous, and acts under a fake aura of bliss.

- sagiia, Dec 16, 2012

Maybe door scratcher => door knocker

One of the slang meaning is "a stupid person"

However, I don't know if it means the same thing in Spanish.
