These legends are very interesting. Last month on my travels, I visited the Basílica de Nuestra Señora de Los Ángeles in Cartago. I had read many stories about the pilgrimages of people looking for miraculous cures and went there specifically to see the black Madonna (La Negrita). The Basilica is indescribably beautiful and it's a fascinating story.
