Struggling with the Subjunctive!
I'd like the proper translation please for - " I am happy that you liked it" . My attempt is "me alegre de que le hayas gustado". This sounds clumsy to me, but I do want to use if possible "me alegre de que............" Help please!

Puedes decir:
Me alegro de que te gustara.
o
Me alegra que te gustara.
Me alegra que te guste. I am happy that it likes you. (about things) Me alegra de que le hayas gustado. I am happy that you like him/her. (about people)
In the first example "me alegra que", something is pleasing to me ( similarly to "me gusta..." and all those expressions that mean you like something.
In the second example, I think the verb should be in the first person as in "Me alegro de que..." the emphasis here is on you in a state of happiness.
