"Personal Best" en español.

"Personal Best" en español.

How does one express ¨Personal Best¨ in Spanish, in the context of ones personal best race time, such as for a 10k or marathon, or, for one´s best lap'time around a race circuit?

It´s a bit of a set-phrase or idiom in English among competitors, but I can´t find any consistent references to a similar term in Spanish.

Any ideas?

Thanks Roger

"Mejor marca personal", se usa principalmente en las competencias de velocidad.

Perfect, just what I was looking for. And thanks for the link to the extra context. - rogspax, Dec 3, 2012

OK, I realize I should have also asked about the relevant verb.

We´ll usually say I hit-set-achieved a new personal-best.

What are some of the corresponding verbs used in Spanish? Anything besides what the article used? (registró)

Thanks

Yeah, it might be "registrar", "conseguir", "obtener", "alcanzar" - -cae-, Dec 3, 2012
