Hello, welcome to the forum. Do you have a question pertaining to learning a language? - rac1, Nov 25, 2012
I think it's just a typo. - annierats, Nov 25, 2012
Sorry, Savannah, no typo, see my second answer. @ Rac, it's a perfectly clear question. - annierats, Nov 25, 2012

Sorry, I'm wrong in my first answer. , I've consulted my dictionary.

Apología means: eulogy, i.e. high praise, or, in defense terms it can mean, defense.

So says my old faithful, the Collins paperback dictionary, I take no personal satisfaction but I've certainly learnt a new word today.

I recommend you put it up on a game called False Friends. A very good example. Thank you for making me look it up!

Hi. It can mean a written or verbal apology. It is more formal than in English. From RAE:

apología.

(Del lat. apolog?a, y este del gr. ????????).

  1. f. Discurso de palabra o por escrito, en defensa o alabanza de alguien o algo.

Perhaps you mean: apoplejía, which means a stroke ( bleeding in the brain) .
