How do I tell mi perro "no beg"?

I was trying to learn how to command mi perro in español, but I can't find how to tell her "no beg". What would be the proper way to say it in that situation? Thanx.

"Command" is not a good word here. I'd say "to school my dog". - geofc, Nov 24, 2012

I think to "school your dog" may be a British English saying. I've never used it. - katydew, Nov 24, 2012
Yes,, command is definitely the term I've grown up hearing for dogs. - rogspax, Nov 24, 2012
Commands is what you give to dogs, Geof. Even then, Wolfie doesn't listen.. Schooling is for horses. - annierats, Nov 24, 2012

No beg would mean here no mendigues. But that doesn´t make sense to me that I´m from Mexico. Here everytime a dog put its legs on your lap to beg for food when you are at the table, we say ¡bájate! (get off!)

Envié su perro a la escuela budista.

Send your dog to Buddhist school.

He will learn obedience and respect , and beg like the best of them.

Ray has the best answer, but having adog: Yours is easier so I vote for bothof you, hoping that 'no' will lead onto greater things.. - annierats, Nov 24, 2012

I like it lady. "No begging" is probably a tad complex for a doggy mind and it's certainly not a recommended single word command. Do you wave a finger at your dog as you say it?

If your dog is English-speaking jsjs, you should simply use "down".

I had a dog named " Engineer " when I gave him a boot in the bum , he made a bolt for the door , it always works. - ray76, Nov 24, 2012
No, I usually push its legs to point the dog that it should get off. I don´t have my dog. It got lost but I would have liked to tell him "down", it´s easier to say than "get off" hehe! . - lady_di30, Nov 24, 2012
Should have called him "Knitter" Ray then he might have made you a new pair of socks. - geofc, Nov 24, 2012
She never actually comes all the way up to you, she just gets close, lies down, then just stares. So "bájate" doesn't fit, but will be used at other times, and down doesn't fit. :\ In Ingles she gets "no beg", but I agree that in Español its a bit longer. - jsjsonify, Nov 24, 2012
