My attempt:

ha quedado en suspenso -- has been suspended

I'm not a native Spanish speaker so would has been held in suspense be a better and closer to the correct translation?

To be held in suspense sounds better, bandit. To be suspended is better translated as estar o ser suspendido (depending on the context).
